Central Coast Live in Respite
This service provides planned and unplanned respite for older carers. The person that they care for attends the centre for an agreed time so that their carers may go on holiday etc.
The centre is for up to 4 people at a time. It is on acreage in Tumbi Umbi on the Central Coast.
The target group is:
• Older carers of people with a mental illness
• Older carers of people with an intellectual disability
The services provided are:
• 24 hour respite accommodation
• Social, recreational and community activities

Northern Sydney Day Respite
The Northern Sydney Day Respite service is for carers who are supporting someone with a psychiatric and/or an intellectual disability.
The person you care for will come to the centre and take part in activities while you have the time and space to do your day to day tasks.
The target group is:
• Older carers of people with a mental illness
• Older carers of people with an intellectual disability
The services provided are:
• Social interaction
• Recreation
• Computer training
• Cooking training
• Life skills such as banking and budgeting
Organised activities include:
• Movie days
• Indoor sports
• Book discussions
• Music
• Art Therapy
