Worker Sets New Benchmark For Service
This month factory workers at North Ryde were recognised
for their years of service.
New Horizons, a local Not-For-Profit providing
employment opportunities for 70 people with a disability, presented 11
employees at its packaging facility with a certificate of appreciation
based on the number of years of service.
“We give special recognition and thanks for every 5
years of service” explained Garry Pearce, Business Services Manager at
New Horizons.
“This year one employee set a new benchmark for New
Horizons. Rosalyn Leo was the first person in the company’s history to
achieve the milestone of 25 years of service” Garry added.
New Horizons’ General Manager, Judi Higgin explained
what else makes Rosalyn’s achievement so unique.
“In today’s labour market a couple of years seems to be
a long time at one company. Reaching such an impressive milestone is
something Rosalyn can be immensely proud of” Ms. Higgin said.
Three employees were recognised for five years of
service, two reached the ten year milestone, three others celebrated 15
years of employment, and two more for 20 years.
CEO, Stephen Kinkead, congratulated the employees for
their achievement. “Our employees play an important role helping make
the packaging facility a success. More importantly, each contributes to
making New Horizons such a great place to work”
